The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says the reported planned increase in the price of petrol is false
- NNPC assures motorists and other consumers of the product that the pump price remains the same across the country
- It cautions marketers against hoarding the product
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has revealedthat it does not have any plan to implement any increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise called petrol in the country.
Ina statement released by its spokesperson, Ndu Ughamadu, on Saturday, January 6, the agency assured motorists and other consumers of petroleum products that the pump price remains N143 per litre in NNPC retail outlets and N145 in other fuelstations.
It also said said the PMS ex-depot price of N133.28k per litre to marketers is still beingmaintained.
